WILDCATS 43, SPARTANS 20

The Wildcats continued their amazing season with a 43-20 thumping of the Spartans. The team continues to work well together, as evidenced by the terrific defense and great passing which saw six different players score points this week. Hekili led all scorers with 13 and Tyler added 11. David, fresh off a trip to DC returned and lit up the scoreboard with 7 big points! Isaac and Ricky each had 4 points while Jackson and Kiran both scored 2. With the win, the Wildcats move to 6-0 and a key match-up with the undefeated Running Rebels next week.

WILDCATS 48, BULLDOGS 18

After a tough battle last week, it was nice to have things a little easier this week, as the Wildcats rebounded with a 48-18 victory over the Bulldogs. In perhaps their finest quarter of basketball this year, the team raced to an 18-2 advantage after one period and never looked back. Hekili posted the highest scoring total this season as he dropped in 20 points, while his parter in scoring Tyler, added 10. However, they weren't the only Wildcats to get on the board. Ricky had his best game with 8 points, while Kiran and Issac added 4 each. Jackson rounded out the scoring with a basket himself. Overall, it was a great team effort that pushes the team record to 5-0. Great job Wildcats!

WILDCATS 25, HOYAS 24

In what proved to be the Wildcats' toughest challenge to date, the team fought hard and survived a rugged battle for a 25-24 win over the Hoyas. The game was a see-saw battle that saw many lead changes, and the team trailed by one point when Hekili grabbed a rebound with seven seconds left and drove the length of the court. However, before he could shoot, the Hoyas intentionally fouled him and time expired. After conferring with the ref, he checked the rule sheet and saw that an intentional foul results in two points, which was enough to give us the win! The result was a 25-24 victory that upped the team mark to 4-0. Tyler led all scorers with 12 points, while Hekili contributed 11. Ricky also added 2 points to round out the scoring. In all sense though, this was a team victory as just about every child had a steal and/or key defensive play or rebound. I'm proud of how the boys hung together and never stopped playing hard. Good job Wildcats!!!
