WILDCATS 26, HUSKIES 5

Its not often that you can win a game by 20+ points and not be completely satisified. Still, Saturday's game was one of the roughest and sloppiest of the year. Too many turnovers and mistakes at a time where we should be playing our best. Still a win is a win! Overall, this was Ricky's best game. He had numerous steals and a season-high 8 points. Hekili led all scorers with 9, while Tyler chipped in 4 points and 4 assists. Kiran and Issac each had a basket, and Jonathan got on the scoreboard with 1point after being fouled while shooting a layup. Michael and David each contributed strong defensive efforts and showed the kind of hustle needed on the court.

With the victory, the team moves to 7-1. Next up is a showdown with the first place Tigers at 8-0. The Tigers edged the Runnin' Rebels, so with a win we can end the season in a three-way tie for first!

RUNNINN' REBELS 24, WILDCATS 21

Well, no matter how good a team is in basketball there are always days when the ball just doest drop the way it should. Saturday's contest proved to be one of those days as the Wildcats dropped their first game of the season 24-21 in a rough, foul-plagued game with the Runnin' Rebels. Hekili led all players with 10 points, while Tyler had 9 and Isaac had 2. Despite the loss, the team battled hard and gave it their all and I was still proud of the effort. Next week, the team looks to bounce back againt the Huskies!
